pillow sale

wood & wool harlequin pillow wood & wool harlequin pillow

One pillow, two faces!

I love to make 'fabric' with wool. All colors can be combined! The trick is how to make them work.

This harlequin pillow is now for sale in my Etsy shop ♦ 50% off ♦

bråkig - beyond ikea

bråkig - beyond ikeabråkig - beyond ikea

Sunday afternoon is an afternoon to avoid Ikea, unless you don't want to miss the limited Bråkig edition!

In the almost empty Bråkig booth, we found;
some of the last harlequin cups, yay!
a harlequin pillow cover (which suits perfectly with my handmade harlequin pillow)
some 'harlequin bottom' plates (super cool idea, white plate with decorated bottom)

The pastel colored chairs and stunning graphic wallpaper are absolutely beautiful! We didn't buy them, because we are in 'no need of chairs or wallpaper' at the moment.

This limited edition is beyond Ikea and i like about the entire collection.
It was worth struggling through the huge crowds...

Last week I picked up an unfinished project. I always have a few ongoing projects...
A large oblong pillow with two different sides.
Before our summer holidays I started the striped side of the pillow and after some harlequins it disappeared in a basket.
I've made some pillows for my Etsy shop before and a larger one for our sofa. It's my favorite pillow in the house.

So I decided to make a new large oblong [size 40 x 70 cm!] pillow for my Etsy shop.
I think both sides are equally beautiful! (that's why I laid the pillow in all possible positions for you)

My harlequin pillow design turns out to be a hit. I make more pillows than stools lately.
Well they are cuddly and cool and I really do make them with pleasure.

surprising & harlequin

surprising & harlequin

The garden chair hibernates in the attic.
I can hardly wait until we both have moved to the garden again.

shine bright like a diamond

My first handmade project of 2013 is quite cool.

The oblong pillow project is finished and the pillow is reversible and equally beautiful on both sides.

It's bright and shines like a diamond in the living room.

oblong pillow project

I am very pleased with the pillow p♦r♦o♦j♦e♦c♦t so far.
The pillow cover is growing slowly, diamond by diamond.
Two more 'rows' to go, then the handmade oblong pillow cover is finished (at least one side of the pillow)
I like it so much already and it's wonderful to design something new.
I don't have a ♦ crochet pattern, but I figured it out myself.
The wool gets kind of knotty and I can not watch a movie and crochet ♦ at the same time (yet).

p♦r♦o♦j♦e♦c♦t pillow

It is not a tapestry,
it's my project from a distance.
I pinned the wool to the wood for a while.
Now I know what it will be...
(new projects often start this way) to be continued...

After a few questions about the Moroccan basket on the cabinet, here's a look closer look at the shabby vintage bread basket from Marrakech.

I consider it an [art object] and the vivid colors have inspired me (think woodwoolstool cover...)
