out of the jar

February at work.

Thursday at Villa Augustus is my weekly flowerday.
I made some seasonal Augustus pictures this afternoon. From now on I will bring my camera more often to work, to shoot the daily life and new dishes for the Villa Augustus facebook page.

Augustus with all its colors and inspiration every single day.
Chefs preparing pumpkin ravioli for the new menu,
all the brand new shiny glass jars (we received lots of new stuff in the market shop)
and of course a shot of the fresh flowers in the vase d'avril with colorful marigolds and tulips!

Curiosities on the tiny table:

The pear jar is a gift from my sweetheart.
He bought the pear for me last Saturday at Lammie's Saturday shop in Dordrecht. (he knows what i like)
The vintage apple mirror is from Marseille.
The tile is a souvenir from Sevilla, we bought it in a antique shop years ago.
Old german book about trees from Berlin.

bamboo

bamboo

Bamboo grows quite wildly and spreads in our backyard.
Pruning is inevitable.
Today some bamboo shoots ended up in the hallway in an old olive jar, for a change...
Nevertheless a small benefit.

The [HoMe IS wHere The HeArt IS] sign is a gift, I made for a sweet colleague. The stones with holes we found last summer on the beach of Ile de Ré.
The jugs collection on the kitchen cabinet have a new orange member, which we bought last Saturday in Amsterdam.

spring

spring, originally uploaded by wood & wool stool.

it's March,
spring is near
the chestnut branches on the table
burst open as you look
no stopping
it's almost springtime
yay!
