sneaker storage

sneaker storage sneaker storage sneaker storage sneaker storage

I've 'built up' an elegant and functional storage for my sneakers with colorful crates. The Ay-Kasa crates are foldable & stackable and come in awesome colors.

I figured by folding only the frontside of the crate, it would make an original storage for my sneakers.

It was quite an investment to collect enough crates for my sneakers and one on top for my socks. Let's say, you can buy a cool pair of sneakers instead of 9 crates. I started collecting them a few months ago and purchased the first pile in Antwerp. Some weeks ago I bought some new colors at Evernow in Rotterdam.

The stacking is finished for now and it's a good thing no more crate fit, because the cupboard has reached the sloping attic roof. I'm really happy with the result.

mini gerbera

december

To be honest, gerberas are my least favorite flowers, but oh so sweet in mini.

In the simple vintage jug they remind me of a child's drawing of a bouquet.

accessoires de bureau

accessoires de bureauaccessoires de bureauaccessoires de bureau

At the moment I'm busy writing the program for the workshop in Marrakech next week.

The pencil sharpener we bought in the museum shop last Monday. I have a weakness for cute desk accessories, so I couldn't resist Geppetto's pencil sharper.
Add the extra to the ordinary.

I'm not a Pinocchio collector by the way...
(the Pinocchio fennel from last week was a surprise from my sweetheart, because he knew I've been looking for it for a long time)

wood & wool office

wood & wool office

Welcome to my wood & wool office.

Here's my desk, an old French table that we already have for more than 20 years.
I've cleaned up the office a bit, before I took the photo. The vintage sorting cabinet (once wool cabinet) is a bit tidier than usual.
You can just see the white Jieldé desk lamp.
On my Bertoia chair, I write my blog posts and do most of my wood & wool 'office' work.

It's a bright spot in the middle of our living room. I'm not complaining...

airy appearance

livingnew york & paris vs new yorkliving

Ever since I saw the half blue Ercol love seat at Anthropologie, I'm in love with that wooden design bench!
They are quite pricey new and a vintage bench is hard to find, or priceless.
This remake of the wooden sixties bench is such a wonderful and affordable alternative.
I love it!

Inspired by the colorful Moroccan boucherouite rugs.
The favorite harlequin shape is magnified!

in a wink

The best thing about the white wooden wall at my desk is, it can be transformed in a wink.

The yellow mirror that we bought this weekend at Lammie's, hangs on the wall now. The mini mirror collection brings beautiful light to the room and reflects the alphabet wall.

Saturday night we had family visiting from St. Petersburg. They treated us to Matrushka dolls and Russian chocolate.

We had a lovely time together.

orange, pink & red tulips

Since the visit of the former 'crochet students' last Saturday, the house looks like a flower shop.
Thank you sweeties!

christmas cabinet

christmas cabinet by wood & wool stool

Wool cupboard turns into Christmas cabinet.
For the occasion I stored the wool temporary in another place.
This to make space for some small collections of Christmas stuff;
a row of angels on top
then a row of birds,
followed by a row of baubles
a row with a hodgepodge of decorations (bells, church, Santa, snow globe with nativity scene)
a row of all kinds of animals (peacock, deer, fish, squirrel)
a row of hearts
and at the bottom there are some empty squares...(the time being)

At the back of the entire cabinet I attached a line of LED lights. Oh yeah!

The picture of the Cow Parsley bouquet, is published in Jansen Magazine issue 3 as j@nsen tip for a free summer bouquet.

The motto of the Dutch Jansen Magazine is: not rich, but stylish!

In the vase once more free flowers, this time a Valerian branch.
