Curiosities & coffee at Lammie's Saturday Shop on the marina quay in Dordrecht.

Lammie sells the best stuff from her treasure hunts from France. The pink (plant) table and zinc flower vase were irresistible and went with home us.

During the first weekends in June, Lammie and her friend Maria will organize a sales exhibition of their French finds. In Maria's large house at the Sarphatipark in Amsterdam, they use the ground floor and the whole upper floor for this exhibition and their friend/artist sets up all the rooms. This tradition is a great experience twice a year.

Just a small selection of the French finds by Lammie.
We picked the cute vegetable jug and a matching plate.

You can visit the Saturday shop with lots of great brocante finds from France almost every Saturday at the Knolhaven in Dordrecht.

french style

Last Saturday we visited the saturday-shop of our friend.

She brought back all sorts of beautiful 'new' stuff from France, the week before.

The Saturday shop at the Knolhaven in Dordrecht, is a colorful collection of cabinets, jugs, plates, glassware, towels, desk lamps, mirrors, chairs and tables.

We had our first 'outside coffee' of the season at the quay, overlooking the picturesque harbors of Dordrecht city center. Over coffee, we 'stared' at the newly arrived green and yellow folding table. And guess what...

One of the new arrivals, went straight back home with us!
Given the beautiful spring weather, a good decision and we have already enjoyed the french patio atmosphere in our garden for a couple of days.

canteen table

kitchenkitchenkitchenkitchen

We have dined at our self-made white wooden table for about 13 years.
Time for a change!

We've been looking for a good alternative for quite a while, however found nothing suitable for our kitchen.

Well finally we found this canteen table and fell in love instantly!
It's a beautiful design with 6 legs and up to 2.4 meters long.

It's a Belgian school canteen table and on the sides of the table are some notes written by students.
Some are really pleasant, so we decided to leave the notes for the time being...
(though 'eat your own shit' might be a bit rude on a dining table)

spring brocante in amsterdam

Today we visited the biannual brocante of Maria & Lammie in Amsterdam.

Everytime it's a surprise to see what beautiful curiosities these two charming and lovely ladies manage to collect during the year.
Their highly original finds are displayed on two floors at the Sarphatipark 126 in Amsterdam.

This time we 'found' a kobalt blue jug for our collection, a carpet-beater (useful for the rugs from Marrakech), a very very special mirror (it's in on of the pictures), colorful rope, a painting of chickens & roosters and an old and used wooden chopping board!

On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th you can have a look from 11:00 A.M. But no worries if you've already made other plans for this weekend. Next week 23th, 24th and 25th of May they are open too!

Come and see! It's a party...
