soft pineapple sofa

pineapple rugpineapple rugpineapple rug

The second pineapple rug is finished!
Today I've used it, to sit on as a soft garden bench cushion. From the first floor I saw this bright summer scene, went down for the camera, to share it with you and just now I found out the pineapple is upside down (haha, however still cool)

The first rug I made some months ago and it was not my intention to sell it.
A sweet blog follower from Autralia send me an e-mail, she would like to buy it because the rug would make the perfect wedding gift for her friends (and she couldn't crochet at all). I missed my huge pineapple the minute it was shipped and decided to make another one. It's quite a cool project and it doesn't take so much time to make it.

Do you feel like freshen up your place (or garden) with a pineapple rug?

pineapple love affair

The pineapple rug is finished! (the plume of the pineapple seemed endless...)

I happen to have a soft spot for pineapples (that you will have noticed)

During the making of the pineapple pillow, I immediately had in mind to begin a major pineapple project.

The spools of fabric yarn in perfect colors were already 'waiting' in the cabinet.
Hey, I mean a lilac plume, what could be more beautiful?

You can find the pattern in my E T S Y shop.

All you need is 5 spools of fabric yarn, a 12 mm crochet hook and within a few weeks you will have a fruity rug on the floor. (plus free biceps workout)

pineapple rug

Remember T H I S?

The pineapple on the floor is now about halfway up the plume and i’m in love with all of it!
The colors, the p a t t e r n, the textural appearance, even the structure resembles a real pineapple.

Still not sure whether the pineapple will end on the wall or on the floor.
I imagine it will look smashing upon the wall, however a pineapple rug is an option too, because the fabric feels so soft to bare feet...
