running

run

Tuesday evening run in the polder.

My 'weekly' 5 km run. At least I try to run every week and during the summer months more often. For me it's never easy to start and I often think I will run tomorrow... so I have to motivate myself and I know afterwards it always feels good.

cornfields around the corner

Cornfields around the corner.

Friday evening we went for a drink at a rural café nearby. The late evening light was just so beautiful, we decided to drive across the polder and made some pictures of the golden cornfields.

rural bike ride

rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride rural ride

Yesterday morning we took full advantage of the one hour it was not raining, to make a test drive on my new bike.

We live on the outskirts of the city and within 5 minutes you are cycling in a completely different landscape along the river between the sheep.

Riding my new blue [holymoly] bike is so much easier and lighter, than my old vintage 'french' bike.
We made a polder tour and even climbing the river embankment was a piece of cake.
We even had time for a cup of coffee on a terrace, facing a dark sky. We raced home and arrived just in time for the rainshower. (it has not been dry since...)

black cardigan

Pippa asked me if I could make her a black wood & wooly cardigan.

She is happy with the result and it's so cool to see the totally different style of the black version.
The two of us went into the polder yesterday and I made a photoshoot of her!
We had lots of fun together and I think Pippa looks pretty cool!

If you like to make your own wood & wooly cardigan, you can buy the P A T T E R N in my Etsy shop. The cardigan pattern is available in Dutch and English.
