huge harlequin blanket

huge harlequin project

Hello everyone! Hello 2018!

Somewhere in 2017 I started this huge harlequin project. Perhaps just a little too ambitious but I'm sure it will be awesome in the end.

A huge harlequin blanket, king size bed blanket for the attic.

The thing with ambitious projects like these, they seem never ending...

Because it's impossible to do this blanket in one go, I need smaller side projects to work on simultaneously.

On New Year's Eve I put the parts down on the floor and discovered that I only had to crochet two more huge harlequins.

So I finished the last two harlequins and I intend to finish the blanket this month.
Attaching all parts to one another, the tricky part...
I made a start yesterday evening and it feels good to finally finish the blanket.

Hopefully we can actually use the blanket this winter season.

Cheers to 2018!

handmade harlequin baby blanket

wood & wool harlequin blanket

A handmade harlequin blanket is the perfect item for a babyroom.

You can make this multicolored blanket with wool leftovers. You can also make a very natural colored version if you prefer.

Making a babyblanket is so much fun! All harlequins are simple small projects and when you make one or just a few a day, you finally have enough harlequins to make a unique blanket.

At the moment I'm working on a white & colors version and I'm making it in a bigger size for our daybed.

You can make the blanket with all types of yarn and in any size you want.

The harlequin p a t t e r n is available HERE.

wood & wool harlequin blanket

Happy Holidays!

Looking for a new wooly winter project? This merry & bright blanket might be something for you.

You can find the pattern in my E T S Y shop and design your own version, using as much colors as you like.

The original wood & wool harlequin pattern I made, is based on a square blanket with only five different colors.
Obviously with the basic harlequin pattern, you can also make a multicolored version like the blanket above, I made from my wool leftovers.

Have a nice weekend!

wood & wool harlequin pattern

wood & wool harlequin blanket

The harlequin blanket I've designed last summer has been a success!

The first HARLEQUIN blanket still has many daily views and I get a lot of questions about the pattern.

I decided to make a winter version with 100% wool and used The Petit Wool for the blanket.

This time I have written my design into an original wood & wool harlequin pattern!
You can buy the pattern (with detailed photos) in my Etsy shop!

The circles cupboard we bought at Lammies and although it was planned in the kitchen, it ended up on my desk.
Well I can't get enough of the zinnias yet. They just look so damn pretty in that bucket, right?!
