two loopy hours - d i y project

woodwoolstool baby waistcoat

An utterly cute wood & wooly waistcoat for the little ones!
Yesterday I've made this dusty pink version in just two 'loopy' hours.

I've designed a wood & wooly baby waistcoat and have written down the pattern some years ago.
It's made in 'for-the-little-ones' size and will fit lot's of babies and toddlers, because it's a sleeveless cardigan.
One size fits all, isn't a term you often use for babies, but I guess it's true in this case.
It's cute and at the same time cool!
A perfect D.I.Y. project and all you need is about 100 grams of wool and a crochet needle size 6. Within just a few hours you can make a super cute gift!

You can download the p a t t e r n in my ETSY SHOP.
The pattern is available in English and Dutch.

The Dutch p a t t e r n of this newly designed WOOD & WOOLY FUNKY FRINGES WAISTCOAT is now for sale in my Etsy shop.

This funky item is a variation on the wood & wooly baby cardigan; slightly less flashy, only some fringes in between.

The English version of the pattern will soon be available. I will keep you updated.

a hat for peer

pear

A hat for Peer.

The parents of baby boy Peer (which means pear), asked me if I could make a pear hat for their son.

The pear shape was not as easy as I thought, but once I found it, I liked that fruity beanie so much and made another one for the S N O R - F E S T I V A L on September 21.

Cato is 11 months old and she can almost walk.
We had so much fun together and Cato loved the poufs in our living room.

I had the pleasure to photograph Cato for a wood & wooly waistcoat shoot!
She's a natural!

You can order a handmade baby waistcoat or in case you would rather make one yourself, you can also buy the pattern* of the waistcoat in my ETSY shop!

wood & wooly baby waistcoat pattern

wood & wooly baby waistcoat

It was inevitable!

After a wood & wooly cardigan for women, I figured a wood & wooly waistcoat for the little ones would be utterly cute!

So I've designed a wood & wooly baby waistcoat and have written down the pattern.

It's made in 'for-the-little-ones' size and will fit lot's of babies and toddlers, because it's a sleeveless cardigan.
One size fits all, isn't a term you often use for babies, but I guess it's true in this case.

All you need is about 100 grams of wool and a crochet needle size 6 and within a couple of hours you can make a super cute waistcoat!

You can purchase this pattern now in my ETSY SHOP.

male mittens

Last week i've made some fingerless mittens for a friend. Her husband was eager for a pair of these 'wee' mittens too. He's a professional photographer, so the fingerless mittens are super convenient when he's shooting outside.

peep toes & peep fingers

wood & wool wearwood & wool wearwood & wool wearwood & wool wear

Although we planned to walk into the woods yesterday, we didn't feel like going anywhere.
Due to bad weather we decided to stay at home and take a few autumnal pictures of the newly created fingeless mittens in our frontyard. I assumed my feet would stay out of sight, so I went outside in my non autumnal "sitting shoes" for a quick shoot and didn't put on my boots.

I had to laugh when I found out my feet are visible in some of the pictures. Actually the [peep toes & peep fingers] effect is kind of funny.

Thanks for your nice comments on the wee mittens on my blog and Instagram.
After three orders in one day (even one from New Zealand) I can't guarantee the shipping term of 3-5 days, but of course I'll do my utmost!
