sunday in the south

Sunday in Antwerp. The shops are closed, with the exception of some vintage & antique shops, the terraces are open! Quiet streets are lovely for a walk through the south (het Zuid) and the renewed Quartier National.

peculiar place

Yesterday we visited ghost town Doel near Antwerp. We only met some other photographers. The village Doel is (almost) abandoned by the inhabitants, because of the planned expansion of the port of Antwerp. Despite the sad and peculiar atmosphere, Doel is altogether a wonderful place. The art on the houses was more than worth a detour to Antwerp.
