April 25, Marrakech;

♦ after crochetting in Jardin Majorelle, we went to a higher level in the afternoon
♦ by bus we drove towards the High Altas Mountains
♦ along the way we enjoyed the beautiful scenery
♦ after a final hairpin bend we arrived at our destination
♦ amazing views with snowy mountain peaks
♦ after enjoying a delicious lunch everyone went for a swim, laze and crochetting...
♦ at the end of the day we drove back to Marrakech
♦ en route ​​the bus made a few 'emergency stops', first by the river and a few minutes later we stopped at a wool shop on the side of the road
♦ the shop owner was also very happy to have a visit of 8 wool addicts just before closing time...
♦ on the way back lots of laughter and chatter in the bus and finally very satisfied back home at Chambres d'Amis
♦ what a great day!! one with tears of happiness

♦ getting up early
♦ breakfast on the roofgarden of the riad
♦ walking to the Jemaa el Fna square, being excited as little girls when seeing the two caleches waiting for us
♦ say 'tajine' for the daily cool crocheteers picture
♦ walking through the magnificent Jardin Majorelle
♦ having the second cool crochet experience in the shadow of the garden
♦ also having our five minutes of fame for Arab TV, they were filming in the garden and wanted the colorful crocheteers to be part of the report
♦ posing in the crochetting corner on the bench with some Majorelle visitors, when they were holding our crochet work (very funny)
♦ the Majorelle morning was magical

crochet with city views

April 24, Marrakech;

♦ waking up at 5 A.M. because of an extra long version of the morning prayer
♦ falling asleep again
♦ breakfast on the roofgarden of the riad
♦ cool crocheteers strolling through the Medina with a spontaneous visit to a primary school (thanks to our ever popular guide Anke) this was so cute
♦ visiting an enormous yarn shop with spools as big as a stool, no kidding, you can sit on it
♦ buying more wool for the workshop
♦ stocking up a private wool collection by most of the crocheteers
♦ visiting Maison de la Photographie and the first cool crochet experience on a marvelous spot on the roof terrace
♦ lunch in the shadow on the roof and yarn, hooks and patterns make room for some delicious Moroccan salads
♦ after lunch more crochetting and lots of tea
♦ via the souk back to Chambres d'Amis to relax

April 23, day 2 in Marrakech;

♦ waking up at 5 A.M. because of the morning prayer at the mosque
♦ falling asleep again
♦ breakfast on the roofgarden with a delicious and colorful buffet (with Alberto & Ilaria)
♦ cool crocheteers arriving during the day
♦ more strolling in the Medina
♦ getting lost in the Souk
♦ arranging a wool stock on the roofgarden at Chambres d'Amis
♦ welcome dinner with all the cool crocheteers at night
♦ What a wonderful bunch of folks together...
♦ Tomorrow we will finally start 'crochetting', a new verb for crochet invented by Tif
