Sa vida ~ healthy life

We went to Es Castell in the morning. Had lunch at Trébol, which means clover in Catalan. Walked along the quay in the port and when we walked on around the corner we saw the most beautiful mural Sa Vida.
In the afternoon we drove to the small village nearby, called Sant Lluís and when we strolled in the shadow side of the mainstreet we were looking at the cakes in the window, but the bakery was closed because of siesta.
We headed for the beach at Punta Prima and had a nap under the beach umbrella.

When we left the beach it was already late and on the way back we happened to see a cozy evening craft market in the festively illuminated streets of Es Mercadal. So we stopped, drove 10 laps before we could park our car and had a wonderful night with all kinds of delicious regional tapas for dinner.

Sa vida! Cheers to a healthy and lucky life...

It's easy to explore Menorca in one week if you rent a car.

Every day we visited another village and found out all towns have something unique. On the road in Es Mercadal, we happen to see a craftsman at work, making traditional menorcan wooden fences. They are made from olive trees and you see them everywhere on the island. Sawdust in his workshop was piled everywhere, also on the radio. We, both woodworkers, had a nice conversation.

A little up north, we visited one of the 6 lighthouses on the Island, Cap de Cavalleria.

In the afternoon we headed for a new bright blue bay, Cala Mitjana (thanks for the tip Will). To reach an idyllic bay, you sometimes have to walk for an hour. The effort (with heavy bags filled with water bottles, because there are often no beach bars) was always rewarded.

Menorca is an island full of wonder.
