It's easy to explore Menorca in one week if you rent a car.

Every day we visited another village and found out all towns have something unique. On the road in Es Mercadal, we happen to see a craftsman at work, making traditional menorcan wooden fences. They are made from olive trees and you see them everywhere on the island. Sawdust in his workshop was piled everywhere, also on the radio. We, both woodworkers, had a nice conversation.

A little up north, we visited one of the 6 lighthouses on the Island, Cap de Cavalleria.

In the afternoon we headed for a new bright blue bay, Cala Mitjana (thanks for the tip Will). To reach an idyllic bay, you sometimes have to walk for an hour. The effort (with heavy bags filled with water bottles, because there are often no beach bars) was always rewarded.

Menorca is an island full of wonder.

We both love to stroll through the quiet streets and escape the crowds in the center. That's where you often discover the best and most beautiful cityscape.

We have seen houses in all colors of the rainbow and the magnificent tiles.

At the end of the afternoon drove to the south coast and took a dip in the sea.
The stone walls you can find everywhere on the island, even on the beach.
