Vintage tulip arm chairs by ? at the book table.

The iron table was my former worktable & home desk, now serving as a book table for quite a while and it’s chock full with our favorite books and (interior) magazines.

Joining the iron table is the best spot for the newest vintage design furniture.
I think we will take the tulip chairs outside, by the time the garden doors can be opened again. There even is a small water drain hole in the seats, so it's suitable as outdoor furniture as well.

I really like the new peek into living room, from every corner and paired with just the right amount of houseplants, books and the oak herringbone floor. I'm in love with this place...

Sunday in Eindhoven.

Between all the unique pieces, I spotted a set of 3 vintage tulip chairs.
Only for sale as a set, so I suggested my friends to join me to make a deal.
Marieke agreed right away to buy one chair and I 'didn't mind' to take the other two chairs. Everyone happy!

We made a "Wie van de Drie" photo (the Dutch version of the American television quiz "To Tell the Truth" from the 80-s), although my younger friends didn't know the quiz and set with the tulip chairs for the panel and participants...
We had so much fun nonetheless, Mick acted as the quizmaster in the background...

It was freezing cold in the warehouse, so we left for lunch at Pien Hein Eek, to recover from the cold.

After lunch we went for inspiration to the shop & showroom and we visited an exhibition of Jan van der Ploeg in the gallery upstairs.
In short, we had a wonderful day together.

Monday morning I cleaned the vintage arm chairs (all ugly scratches, stickers and dirt went off) and in next blogpost I will show you, how perfect they are at the reading table.

Although they are not the original Tulip Arm Chairs by Eero Saarinen, they sure are lookalikes, but I haven't found out yet, who the designer is...

fresh font & pure cards

A fresh font and spicy colored cards.

A good way to start this week, new workshop cards and a header update.

When I'm talking about the workshops in Marrakech with interested people, it sometimes is difficult to explain the meaning of woodwoolstool.

I tell them, how it all started years ago; my handmade stools, made of scrap wood and a woolen cover... Well at least it explains the name of my blog, i started in 2009, however 'woodwoolstool' not really covers the Cool Crochet and Green Gardens workshop in Marrakech.

On the other hand, I don't want to change the name, because I like it and a lot of people know me by that name and some even call me; hej woodwoolstool...

I never can hand a card, when someone asks for it, because I always forget to take them with me. So I decided, it's time to change that and designed a new card for the travel workshops in Marrakech.

I picked one of my favorite photos, a typical moroccan iron door with a harlequin, I took last year in Marrakech.

Also my font needed an update and I came across a cool new font! The typography reminded me of handmade moroccan Zelliges tiles and to choose the right pure color was easy... Pure Marrakech!

This week I've been working on a new cool crochet project.

After working on the huge harlequin blanket, it was so much fun to start something completely new!

A herringbone pillow (another personal favorite pattern besides the harlequin) in the same color as our new tiled kitchen wall (which is a coincidence).
The crochet work I finished yesterday evening and this morning I've been busy sewing the crochet onto white linen fabric.

I love how it worked out and I am really happy to prepare the new pattern for the upcoming cool crochet workshop in Marrakech in April.

The herringbone pillow is rocking the vintage garden chair, that we once found in Spain and the palm tree wallhanging in the background, is making the weekend feeling complete...
