minne

Eighteen...

Today is the 18th birthday of our dear son Minne. So my first born child is now officially adult.

I remember it like yesterday that I've become his mother. He was so small and 5 weeks premature, his weight was 2200 grams and length only 44 cm.

Nowadays he's a head taller than me and a first year journalism student.

Happy birthday Minne! (the English translation of his name is love)

    oh ingrid, i know just how you feel... on one hand you stand there so proud as can be but on the other hand you stand there ready to cry knowing your sweet baby is all grown up and ready to make their own way in the world!

    the happiest of birthdays to Minne, he truly is a lucky boy to have such a fabulously beautiful and creative mother :)

    Thanks for the sweet comments and congratulations! I've enjoyed making the photo set of Minne and could have selected many more precious pictures. While I browsed through the archives, all memories came back (nice to know that MINNE is Swedish for MEMORY Laura). The slideshow with 36 images of 18 years is similar to how time has flown...

    Wat een ongelooflijk schattige fotoverzameling. Ik vond het ontroerend om te zien, en dat van foto's van een jongen die ik niet eens ken. Je maakt prachtige dingen en ook nog eens prachtige foto's, mooi om te zien! En gefeliciteerd natuurlijk met en voor Minne!

    Wow, what a great series of pictures to show the growing up of your son. What a beautiful guy you have! I'm holding on to my heart,(a dutch saying)when it comes to the growing up of my own boy(and girl). He's three years old now, and i feel like time goes much tooooo fast already....

    Belated birthday wishes to your son! I've just looked at your photo collection and I see nothing but happiness and complicity between mother and son - times flies, I know, my eldest is nearly 14 and towers above me already (1.85m!). We just spent a week in Paris together and I couldn't believe how mature and grown up he is...
