On our trip from Lagos to the Natural Parc of South West Alentejo, we visited Sagres, the most western beach of the Algarve and of course Cabo de São Vicente.
The Cape of Saint Vincent is Europe’s southwesternmost point.
This wind blasted and storm pounded headland is what you expect, for what was once considered, the end of the world.
The jagged cliffs rise sixty meters from the sea and high above one of Europe’s brightest lighthouses.
It's a spectacular spot! Unfortunately we could not stay for the sunset, because we had to drive to our next destination...
