Napels - Saturday 1st of June - 16343 steps
Henk went to Naples with Minne for a few days in October last year and came back so enthusiastic and we decided to go back together.
We took the taxi from the airport to our B&B Vista Mare at the end of the afternoon. There we were on our balcony with a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Napoli, vista mare & vesuvio!
We started our avventura napoletana with a walk along the coast from our neighborhood in Posillipo. Via the kilometre-long Via Francesco Caracciolo, we walked towards Castel dell'Ovo.
On the way we had an Americano cocktail (I actually ordered a coffee Americano) and Birra Peroni at Casa Infante, with sweet pastries choosen from the packed pastry display case. Let's take a break on a swing bench on the terrace, to let the first impressions sink in. So much to see, hear and capture, what a city, impossible to explain!
Along the lungomare di Napoli you can see the castle from far away, but in reality it is more than far away.
While we enjoyed our aperitifs (in Naples always served with something tasty) at Al Barcadero cafè, a very nice location with a view of Vesuvius and the marina. it started to drip for a while, so we were treated to a rainbow in the beautiful sky during sunset.

And yes we walked the entire route back again.
