green

green insidegreen insidegreen insidegreen insidegreen insidegreen inside

The strange thing about my love for green is, I'm crazy about flowers and am not too fond of plants.

The temporary beauty of a bunch of flowers on the table, you can enjoy them for a week and then it's done, away with it on to the next.
Houseplants however, are just standing there and it makes me 'nervous' eventually.
Although I love plants in the garden, also houseplants.
So yesterday, when I bought a new bunch of flowers I couldn't resist this plant and decided to adopt it, for the time being in the house and maybe within a few weeks it can move to the garden...

Green touches everyone and everything, especially this time of the year.

pineapple rug

pineapple rug

Remember T H I S?

The pineapple on the floor is now about halfway up the plume and i’m in love with all of it!
The colors, the p a t t e r n, the textural appearance, even the structure resembles a real pineapple.

Still not sure whether the pineapple will end on the wall or on the floor.
I imagine it will look smashing upon the wall, however a pineapple rug is an option too, because the fabric feels so soft to bare feet...

An eclectic version of the wood & wool stool. A new design. It's a combination of harlequins, multicolored woolen fringes and natural crochet, inspired by our Moroccan rugs.
I am more than satisfied with the result.
The eclectic stool looks beautiful everywhere in the house.

This unique stool is now in the E T S Y shop.

hyacinth fragrance & hare frame

hyacinthhyacinthwood & word sign [jon emil]

The fragrance of hyacinth fills the kitchen. We've enjoyed the white bunch, my sister brought us on Monday, throughout the week.

The name sign I made for a Swiss boy and the little hare, who lives in our kitchen, is a model for the occasion.

I wish you a joyful weekend!

seams obvious

publication homespunpublication homespunsleeping on the couch - 'happiness'

Pippa in Homespun, an Australian crafts magazine.

The photo of my s l e e p i n g - b e a u t y I took in november 2011, when she was napping on the couch because she wasn't feeling too well.

Both the photo and the blog post have become very popular and are still frequently viewed every day.

The blanket we found in a second-hand shop in Antwerp is world famous now.

Publication Homespun No.142 issue March 2015 - page 17:

'SEAMS OBVIOUS! Ingrid Jansen, from WoodWoolStool, didn't make this brilliant patchwork knit blanket; she said it was a "lucky find in a second-hand shop in Antwerp". We love it too, with it's cosy, comforting feel that mixes up any number of uncoordinating knitted squares and highlights the seams to exaggerate the naive feel. There are lots of visual treats on Ingrid site; go to www.woodwoolstool.blogspot.com or shop for her wares on www.etsy.com/nl/shop/woodwoolstool.'

weathered wood

Obviously not winter-proof, but I do love the peeling paint.

This is how we found the green stool in our backyard, after a long winter.
