Into the green!

The abundant green gardens in and around Marrakech are astonishingly beautiful and impressive, every time again.

In the most unexpected places you will encounter an oasis, art, ancient history, inspiration, nature and complete tranquility.

A sensational green that touches you.

One of my favorite days in the MM-program... and coming home in the oasis of Chambres d'Amis fits perfectly with the green gardens day!

La journée des jardins! Today it's all about green!

During the Marvelous Marrakech workshop we visited and explored all kinds of gardens in and around Marrakech; an Arabic garden, a botanical garden, secret city gardens, hidden courtyards, an oasis garden restaurant, an art garden, museum gardens and vegetable- and herb gardens.

An excellent manner to uncover the red city at its greenest!

On the last day of our family & friends trip to Marrakech, we visited Palais Bahia.

Bahia Palace is a palace with lush walled gardens and pavilions, located in the medina of Marrakesh.

It was built in the late 19th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time.
The name means "brilliance" and was intended to capture the essence of the Islamic and Moroccan style.
Painted wooden doors and ceilings and beautiful tiles everywhere.
One of the best elements of the Bahia Palace is the large courtyard, tiled with white marble and zellige tiles.

The oldest part of the palace (Dar Si Moussa) is my favorite, with a courtyard and a central garden with several fountains and cypress, orange, jasmine and banana trees. You should smell the orange blossom...
