Friday 4th of September.

In the eastern part of the Algarve, between Faro and Tavira, there is a 60 km long belt of islands and peninsulas with a lagoon behind it. Ria Formosa is therefore called the pearl of the Algarve.

Between breakfast and lunch we entertain ourselves in Faro and in the afternoon we take a boat to one of the beautiful and peaceful beaches of Ria Formosa.

Another day, another island.

We returned to Ilha do Farol, the island that we already visited in 2015. And nothing has changed, this island breathes slow life.

The simple slow living rituals suit us perfectly. Breakfast under the lemon tree - boat to an island - beach - lunch - boat to Faro - dinner - sleep - repeat.

And because the pearl of the Algarve, also turns out to be a paradise for mosquitoes, I'm wearing my overalls as an anti-mosquito suit and it proved to be efficient in the evenings.
