salento in september - torre mozza & murusanza matino

Friday 15th of September

Dieci giorni del Salento a settembre. This was the last day & night in Salento.

It's been wonderful, this holiday in the heel of the boot.

You have to be somewhat enterprising and have a car. Nevertheless 10 villages and 10 beaches in 10 days is easily doable. The west and south coasts are so different from the east coast and that's exactly what makes Salento so appealing. Our summerhouse Casa Palamita was a great base. La vita a Matino è bella. We ended up at our favorite restaurant Murusanza for a festive farewell dinner in Salentine style.

salento in september - castro & castro marina

Thursday 14th of September

Enjoyed a glorious day in Castro Marina among Italians from zero to ninety years old. And even though they are very old, they all take a dip in the sea. Impressive.

We reflect on a beautiful day in Castro with its picturesque cliffs, with aperitif & antipasti on the roof!
