Saturday 9th of September
During breakfast we decided to drive to Baia Verde on the west coast today, and ended up at the beautiful sandy beach Punta della Suina, accessible through a pine forest. We bought a parasol at a stand in the woods, so we could mingle with the locals on the public beach. In our picnic bag ciabatta with prosciutto crudo and melon.
Dolce far niente... with Peroni zero and Campari soda at the beach bar.
In the evening we had dinner at home on the roof top with a gorgeous sunset.
Around ten o'clock we walked to the Piazza Giorgio around the corner, where a jazz concert was taking place at our 'favorite' restaurant Murusanza. We enjoyed a two-hour concert by pianist, Salentine singer and trumpeter with Italian star allure. Exciting music and the square went wild. Che celebrazione!
