Even after celebrating Henk's birthday no less than four days, we actually did not want to go home and got homesick on the way to the airport.

We've enjoyed the delicious food (mostly tapas) consumed at Orio (El Gòtic), Golfo de Bizkaia (El Born), La Botiga (Eixample), Teresa-Carles (Raval) and several times at Bar Lobo (Raval).

We've enjoyed everything that came our way during the long walks through the city, towards the Macba, Casa Mila, La Sagrada Familia, Olympic Stadium and Barceloneta beach.

All districts have their own atmosphere and everywhere there's something to discover.

At the end of the afternoon just lazing on the beach for a few hours.

On our way back to the Praktik Rambla hotel, at some sidewalk cafe with a drink, we often were daydreaming about living in this vibrant city.

I mean, where in the world, you're walking on Gaudí pavement?

Today is the last day of 2010 and I am used to the space between 20 and 10 on the clock. The year has flown!

Yesterday Pippa was my personal assistant on the last flowerday of the year. In the morning we went to the flower auction for flowers & bulbs. When we arrived at Villa we first had lunch with Naïma in the marketcafe.

We brought all kind of bulbs for the shop and some cute four leaf clover plants for happiness in the new year!

Today is Pippa's birthday!

She is thirteen years old now and has been waiting for this day so long. As promised a long time ago, today is the first 'earring day' of her life and she is shining from ear to ear.

When I discovered Dottie Angels happy hangers last week, I went straight to her Etsy shop to buy one. Not even one hangers in the shop so I wrote Tif a little note about it and she replied and suggested to exchange happy hangers!

What a wonderful swap idea. So currently two happy hangers are passing eachother somewhere above the ocean.

Imagine this pretty orange & pink happy hanger will soon be mine and this wood & wool hanger in the pattern of Dottie Angel's first stool is shipped with some small bird whistles to my dear friend. (unfortunately the windup jumping hare did not fit in the envelope Tif, but I promise to send it to you next time)

Eighteen...

Today is the 18th birthday of our dear son Minne. So my first born child is now officially adult.

I remember it like yesterday that I've become his mother. He was so small and 5 weeks premature, his weight was 2200 grams and length only 44 cm.

Nowadays he's a head taller than me and a first year journalism student.

Happy birthday Minne! (the English translation of his name is love)
