urban jungle donkey basket

The green donkey basket I found at the local weekly Ourika river market last week.
Actually I bought it for my bike, but soon realized that I do not have a luggage carrier on my bike, haha...
I would definitely find another application, so I decided to buy the basket anyway...
Perhaps as planter in the garden? or wool baskets?
You can not possibly find an even more impractical souvenir to take in your suitcase, but I was facing the challenge and managed to bring it home.

Cool Crochet workshop summary in just a few pictures.

With our colorful moroccan yarn and hooks, we traveled to the desert, the Atlas mountains and strolled through the media.

What a lovely group of women, we had so much fun!
Every day delicious food and we were pampered by the staff of Chambres d'Amis.

hello from marrakech

Today we made a bicycle tour through la Palmaraie. It's so green and peaceful.

In the medina it is a challenge, but so much fun. Just outside the medina you can enjoy a relaxed ride.

This bike ride was a 'test drive' in preparation for the Green Gardens workshop.

small-shoulder-souk bag

Two new small-shoulder-souk bags.

Especially for the upcoming Cool Crochet Workshop in Marrakech in October, I designed a small crochet project for the first day.
A cross-body bag in two different versions, made with Moroccan cotton and wool from the Medina. Small, but not too small, with a shoulder strap and fringes.

For each workshop, I try to design at least one new item and a new crochet technique.
It's always the trick to create a day project that can be done in a few hours.
Furthermore I like it when everyone has the possibility to add something personal to the design, besides the use of color.
These two shoulder bags I've made recently and I use them almost daily.
