sunny lazy friday

We had a sunny lazy Friday at home and in the garden.

Sometimes you don't have to go anywhere, to have that holiday feeling.

having breakfast at the canteen kitchen table with the garden doors wide open
walking barefoot in the grass
late lunch in the garden
napping in the shade
mowing the grass in the evening
enjoying a long sunny day with rosé on the rocks

wood & white

This week we suddenly had a few hours of sunshine in the garden.
I dropped everything and quit what I was working on to go outside and enjoy this moment in the garden. With the sun around the garden looks so summery.
The whites get even whiter and the shadows are stunning. The shadylace parasol remained closed, nonetheless the tiny basket made a nice 'shady lace' effect on the fence.

PS: Can we get back the sunshine, please?!

surprising & harlequin

surprising & harlequin

The garden chair hibernates in the attic.
I can hardly wait until we both have moved to the garden again.

surprising

Early in the morning I got a surprise from Fermob.
A big box all the way from France.
A while ago I got an email from Emmanuelle of Fermob. Because many of my [fermob] photos were featured on their website and casting campaign, I could simply choose which color Surprising lounger I would like to have.
Well choosing a Fermob color isn't that easy ...
I decided to choose linen.
The chair is now in the living room and the kelim pillow from Marrakech has found it's perfect place.
The industrial design of the chair and the traditional woven pillow are a striking contrast.
Merci beaucoup Fermob!
