day & night

harlequin love pillowharlequin love pillow

We are in the middle of dark December, with short days and long nights.
Sometimes I don't mind staying inside with a knit and a tea.

At the moment I'm busy knitting a black sweater dress for the upcoming winter.
I'm actually living in my knitted sweater dress and decided to make another one in black.

There is now also an English version available in my Etsy shop.

Besides the knitting I'm also working on a new crochet project; the love seat harlequin pillow.

the knitted sweater dress

The sweater dress is knitted, yes you read it right, I'm a knitter too (once in a while)...
As long as it is about wool and needles I am eager!

I've had lots of nice comments and questions about my handmade sweater in the previous blogpost.

In case it's not possible for you to order the knitted sweater dress pattern in my E T S Y shop, you can also send me an e-mail; info@woodwoolstool.com

And yes there's an E N G L I S H pattern of the knitted sweater dress too.

The polder shoot we did last Saturday just a few minutes from our home (no, we don't live on a farm), the harlequin socks are by Effio and the beanie is from Marrakech.

the sweater dress

Knitwear is back with a vengeance!

Getting dressed for the cold winter months, just got a whole lot easier thanks to the sweater dress!

I love those chunky sweaters you'll live in all season long!
Although you can find lots of knitwear everywhere nowadays, I couldn't find that perfect sweater dress and decided to design and make one myself.

So I knitted a sweater, a long sweater that can be worn as a dress and it finally became the sweater I had in mind; perfect fit and easy to wear!

I've worked out the pattern in a Dutch and English version!

I say, knit it!
