for james

It's starting to become a habit, to make a baby blanket for newborn babies of friends and family.

This natural blanket with a harlequin filet pattern for James, the baby of Pippa's best friend.

Welcome James. so glad you're home now!

PS: handmade maternity gifts are the best, this blanket is really easy-level and super fun to make! You can find the crochet pattern in my Etsy shop.

colorful & personal gift

This cool colorful blanket i recently made for Imme, the adorable son of my niece Afra from London. It's becoming a tradition, because I once made a harlequin blanket for his sister Mika. (obviously several blankets voor Liam)

And there is another grand-nephew in the family on the way, so i'm about to crochet a new baby blanket project. It's is a relaxed and fun job and if I'm lucky I can do some crochet in the March sunshine in the garden.

If you want to make an original handmade maternity gift (or baby birthday gift), you can download the striped baby blanket crochet pattern from my E T S Y shop.

the weekend

Dordrecht - Saturday 28th of January

Family birthday breakfast on the occasion of Minne's birthday.

After breakfast playing in Liam's attic bedroom. Today he discovered the funny sound of squeaky cupboard doors and he can put his feet on the floor when he sits on his xs woodwoolstool by now.

Time goes way too fast!!

striped baby blanket - crochet pattern

A brandnew baby blanket for Liam-Novi.

He just loves to sleep in his cozy bamboo crib under a blanket when he's with us.

You know I made quite some baby blankets in my woodwoolstool career, but making a blanket for your own grandchild is something completely different.

Liam loves colors and so do I, so that's a good thing.

Last year I made a similar blanket for his baby room when Pippa was pregnant. This striped baby blanket is square and an updated version and not the same crochet pattern as the natural baby blanket. It's a perfect crochet project to use up yarn leftovers.

You can find the renewed CROCHET PATTERN in my Etsy shop. Easy level with crochet chart, tips & tricks, in English and Dutch.

chevron blanket - crochet pattern

One of my handmade blankets; the colorful chevron blanket.

A fresh and bright design.

You can download the CHEVRON BLANKET CROCHET PATTERN in my ETSY SHOP.

With the easy to follow pattern of 6 pages & chart, you can make this cool blanket yourself in your favorite colors.

The size of the blanket is 1.40 x 1.00 meter, however it's easy to adjust to a different size.

The orange cot is swedish design we found about ten years ago.

Soon our grandson Liam-Novi will no longer fit in the bamboo crib, so we have taken out the grow-along bed from our 'junk' attic.

'his' baby blanket

I made a simple natural blanket for Pippa's baby. Made with love in her style and favorite color, matching their baby room.

You can find the CROCHET PATTERN in my Etsy shop. Easy level with crochet chart, tips and tricks.

And the photo is made in 'our' baby room on the attic with Pippa's baby doll Mees in the bamboo crib hahaha...

a 'striped' version of the good old baby blanket

Baby blanket inspiration.

I choose for a 'striped' baby blanket for the future babyroom of our expected grandson. A non-obvious version wich i love, after some shuffling with 36 squares on the kitchen table.

You can find the baby blanket pattern in my ETSY SHOP.

And below some photos from years ago with different versions of the crochet pattern.

The original is from 2010.

New in my Etsy shop: CHEVRON BLANKET PATTERN

The new chevron blanket is finally finished!

I started it last month and it was a super fun project to work on.

Making a blanket requires some experience, but it's not that difficult.

Well, writing the pattern was something else...
I'm not a big fan of that and it simply takes a lot of time and dedication.
But hey, I know from experience that crochet fans will appreciate the work.

So from now on you can download the newest WOODWOOLSTOOL BLANKET PATTERN from my Etsy shop.

With this extensive and easy to follow pattern of 6 pages and chart, you can make this cool blanket yourself. It's lovely as a through on the sofa, but also a cool baby blanket and everything in between.

The size of the blanket is 1.40 x 1.00 meter, however easy to adjust to a different size.

My brand new design is a perfect project for enthusiastic crocheters.
