sustainable & eco friendly evergreen

evergreen xmas tree evergreen xmas tree evergreen xmas tree

Do you fancy one of the three sustainable x-mas trees?

You can order them in my ETSY SHOP and you will definitely have it in time for Christmas.

The utterly cute hare family that I bought years ago at Anthropologie also has made its appearance from the attic.

They are my traditional models on the recycled x-mas trees.

If you want an unique and eco friendly Christmas tree that lasts for years and takes up little space, you have 3 pieces to choose from.

workspace

workspace workspace workspace workspace workspace workspace workspace workspace workspace

A workplace is a place that feeds your imagination. Creating a 'perfect' studio won't happen overnight, it's a growing process and that's how it should be.

A few weeks ago we started creating a studio in Pippa's old bedroom. The idea was to create something new with nothing new.

Enough stuff in da house to redecorate this workspace, nothing new, no purchases, but furnished with items that were stored in the attic.

My wool stock (previously spread throughout the house), moroccan rugs, personal souvenirs, books, my home office (which started taking over half the kitchen table), vintage letters, stools (in all possible variations), etc etc...

Oh wait, something comes to mind...Correction, there is something new. Some new 40x60 cm photo frames. I printed my favorite photographs from Marrakech (and a few from Sicily).

Obviously I will often work at the kitchen table, but in that case I only need my laptop. It's really great to have 'everything together' in one place. I am full of ideas and love to work (or just be) in my new studio. The place still has to 'grow', anyway the good vibe is already there.

traditionals

woodwoolstool woodwoolstool woodwoolstool woodwoolstool woodwoolstool woodwoolstool

A pair of 'good old' traditional woodwoolstools.

Custom made and in the meantime already packed and sent to the new owner, an artist who bought the stools for new gallery in a monumental building.
I've made the stool covers at her request in the traditional way. It's how I once started making stools, more than ten years ago and which explains the origin of the name woodwoolstool.

The woolen covers are completely made with yarn from Marrakech. The wooden stool legs are made of reclaimed wood, that's running out...

Nowadays I do many other things, and hardly make any stools, yet the name woodwoolstool feels so natural to me. I suppose it has become my middle name.

Some people even call me woodwoolstool when they recognize me, but don't know my name... and I do respond immediately.
