souk breda

Saturday morning by surprise in the souk.

On our city walk in Breda we came across a brand-new place in town by chance, when we walked in the St. Janstreet.

Souk Breda recently opened their doors! Soulimane and Yassine are the young and proud owners, who shared a dream. A unique shop with Mediterranean delicacies and home accessories inspired by Marrakech.

Their dream has come true. You can now experience the moroccan vibes and food at Souk Breda.

We brought some moroccan food and pottery from the souk in Breda and had a delicious dinner in the backyard. Bismillah!

handmade moroccan beanies

It's November. Beanie season has started!

Traditionally I brought a new beanie collection for you from Morocco. Striped, uni or with a harlequin pattern, all unique and one size. The soft and warm beanies are very comfortable to wear and won't ruin your hairstyle.

Would you like to wear a beanie this season? Just have a look in my ETSY SHOP, choose your favorite one and support Aisha. The unique moroccan beanies are all handmade in moroccan crochet style by Aisha from Marrakech & crafters from Essaouira.

This season I found some new models, slightly shorter than the regular beanies. Below an example of the Moroccan beanie new style.

Chefchaouen or Chaouen called by the Moroccans.

Another nick name is The Blue pearl, due to all the (indigo) blue houses.

One thing is certain, you expect a city with blue houses, but you will be amazed how blue Chefchaouen truly is.

Every building in the city is coated up to six time a year in thick blue paint. The shades of blue are multiple hues of aquamarine, indigo and cobalt.

The blue is said to symbolize the sky and heaven, and serve as a reminder to lead a spiritual life. Another popular theory is that the blue keeps mosquitos away.

Chaouen is about one of the most photogenic places I know and my favorite color isn't even blue...
