our tiny tree ✨

december december december

Our tiny tree ✨

This time we decorated the tree with Christmas hares of Anthropologie that we have collected over the years 🐰

The seven hares below you've have seen before and this Christmas season we have expanded our collection with new metropolitan hares from New York, London and Paris.

These hares will always remain a tradition I suspect and reappear every December.

december decoration in the hallway

hallway x-mas tree december decoration december decoration xmas prep

Colorful December decoration in our hallway.

A practical tree that takes up little space, but has a big effect on the mural in our hallway.

I actually bought the beautiful vintage Christmas balls postcards to send them, but suddenly got this bright idea.

We also have a real Christmas tree this year, because we are going to celebrate Christmas Eve with Liam-Novi for the first time.

An extra festive and special Christmas with our family and we are all looking very much forward to it.

happy everything

christmas weekendchristmas weekend christmas weekend christmas weekend

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

The hares have been brought out again. This year they hang out under the palmtree.

No x-mas tree in the house, but a simple pine branch in a large glass bottle. Last week we found a few beautiful branches in the Veluwe woods (I swear, they were already lying on the ground)

A joyful christmas to you all and happy everything!

merry & bright

wood & wool harlequin blanket

Happy Holidays!

Looking for a new wooly winter project? This merry & bright blanket might be something for you.

You can find the pattern in my E T S Y shop and design your own version, using as much colors as you like.

The original wood & wool harlequin pattern I made, is based on a square blanket with only five different colors.
Obviously with the basic harlequin pattern, you can also make a multicolored version like the blanket above, I made from my wool leftovers.

Have a nice weekend!

about hares

x-mas hare collectiondorine de vos original drawingx-mas hare collection

The utterly cute hare family comes to visit during holidays traditionally! (I cherish them all)

Today we've framed the original drawing made by Dorine de Vos.
The past week the Villa Augustus hares were taped to the wall too, but once framed, the illustration looks even better I think. We're very pleased with this masterpiece.
In real the colors are even more beautiful of course, but hey it's dark in December.

You can still visit gallery H E R F S T to see (and buy) her original drawings at Villa Augustus. Dorine herself is also present the coming weekends and during Christmas.

x-mas * tree * angel

x-mas * tree * angel
Christmas countdown has begun!
Only 21 days until Christmas Eve, so let's proceed with the x-mas decorations at home.

My friend Rosa made some lovable christmas angels and I'm so delighted with this angel she gave me at the end of the Yvestown Winter Fair last Sunday.

You should really have a look in Rosa's Etsy shop Stellabyrosa and if you're lucky there are still a few A N G E L S left.

And there are still some wooden X-MAS TREES available.

Okay it's a bit bare after a few weeks.
Nevertheless, it's also a relief to have our living room back.

x-mas bliss

Here at home, it's getting slowly but surely really Christmassy. Unpacking the old traditional Christmas goodies gives me every year that Aha experience. I've found some 'new' items in Lammie's shop; the bright pink bauble is vintage and also is the shiny vine leaf.

A huge thanks to all the entries on the give away and remember you can still participate!

Pippa is looking forward to draw a winner on Friday night...

The typography tree is made of cards with letters (and creatures) created by legendary British designer Alan Fletcher, from the book Anteaters to Zebras.

The memory cards are from Tate Modern.
