><((('>

><((('> fish scrubbers

Super cute souvenir from New York, practically flat, because it had to fit in the hand luggage suitcase.

I found the crocheted fish at Anthropologie

A friend and former cool crochet workhsop participant, spotted my fish post on Instagram.

><((('> fish scrubbers

She was inspired to crochet these fish scrubbers after seeing the pair of fish and she happened to find a crochet pattern. @1dogwoof wrote up a pattern for the fish scrubbers a few years back. You can find the free pattern on her blog.

And check the fishes my friend @haveeweanywool made HERE.

Don't you think they are cute?

By the way, I use them as pot holders...

open doors

open doors open doors open doors

Daily routine.

Unpacking the dishwasher.
Open the kitchen cupboard doors and put everything back in place.
Nothing special, a daily recurring activity.
Yet I can see the 'fun' of this daily routine.
All the personal things, the mix of colors, the collections...

and when everything is back in place, close the doors again, because I'm allergic to open doors.

the simple things

kitchen green kitchen life backyard in july

The simple things.

A single palm leaf in a bottle.
The shadow on the wall, as soon as the sun peeks inside.
Kitchen utensils on the kitchen counter.
Stunning light in the backyard.
Eye candy is everywhere...

plants & plates

green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen green kitchen

The spider plant - chlorophytum comosum - has never really been away, because it's so easy to maintain and multiply.

One of the most interesting points of the spider plant is its ability to rapidly propagate itself. A spider baby from the mother plant will often root and within a year it's producing babies of its own, you can give out to your family and friends.

I've send a couple of spider babies to my niece in London and I hope they will survice the journey.

The small green harlequin pot I brought from Anthropogie in Londen and the leafs plate I found at Portazul in The Hague.

winter weekday

kitchen window kitchen window

Tuesday morning.
Sunshine in the kitchen.
So bright, you can almost see through the leaves of the plant.
The vintage egg basket is empty, because of the delicious omelette we had for breakfast.
Starting the day with sunshine, is so much more fun!

cosas de la cocina

The waving checkered little curtain and the pink brush are from Lammie's kitchen.
The other pictures are taken in our kitchen, just simple everyday things that I love.
