kaftan mood

kaftan mood

Kaftan mood.

I could wear kaftans all day every day, but I don't...

The printed photo on the wall is my all time favorite photo from Marrakech.

Streetart by Guim Tio Zarraluki, made during the Biennale in Marrakech 2014.

Have a look at this VIDEO, where you can see the artist at work.
(I've posted the video once before, but for those who have not seen it yet, it's worth watching!)

In the meantime the mural has disappeared from the wall in de Medina, but thank goodness we still have this print.

This shot with the passing man in perfectly toned traditional clothing, makes the mural even better.

harlequin hanger

wood & wool harlequin hanger wood & wool harlequin hanger wood & wool harlequin hanger

This harlequin hanger I have made weeks ago for my friend Cornel from South Africa. I could not post the pictures, because she didn't had the chance to open the gift until yesterday.

At the moment I'm busy preparing the Cool Crochet Workshop in Marrakech in April.
The harlequin clothes hanger will be one of the new projects I've designed for the workshop.

There is still one room available for the workshop in April (October is fully booked), so if you want to join, please send an e-mail to info@woodwoolstool.com

wooly winter wear

wooly winter wear wooly winter wear wooly winter wear

Winter has begun. At long last.
Today was the first cold day in the Netherlands.
No snow in our hometown yet, but certainly cold enough to wear warm woolen mittens & beanie.
Let it freeze... (for several weeks)

Dit wollige wintervest met mouwen kun je nu ook zelf haken.

De nederlandse versie van het patroon voor een wollig vest mét mouwen is nu verkrijgbaar in mijn Etsy shop

(for now only the dutch pattern, I promise you; soon also in english!)

Have a good weekend!

wood & wall peg for girls

wood & wall pegwood & wall pegwood & wall pegwood & wall peg

This wood & wall peg with pink and red hooks on a flower wallpapered piece of scrapwood is part of the feminine peg collection.

All pegs are made of a unique piece of scrapwood with 3 double colored hooks.

We have made quite some pretty pegs for the Snor Festival on Sunday September 21.

Of course we do not just bring wood & wall pegs, but also wooden trees, stools, postcards, pillows, cute cardigans and some fun brocante stuff.

the shop window

Mommies from Paris and London were walking along my Etsy shop window to buy some wood & wool hangers and that ║║║║║║ & ♦♦♦♦♦♦ pillow is on its way to Jean's sofa in Australia.

That's the cool effect of Etsy. I love it when my work travels around the world.

today

around the worldtoday's scrapwood finds scrapwood wood & wool fringes

This morning I did not have to get up early and lazed on my around the world pillow (cute pillow-swap with Stof Enzo), I made a wood & wool fringe hanger for a Californian baby and Henk brought me some super scrapwood from his today's wood hunt.

wood & wool fringes hanger

My new favorite wood & wool hanger.

Inspired by the colorful Paul Smith stripes, this handmade baby clothes hanger is also fun without clothes.

And why hide all those loose threads?
They turn into fringes, to make it even more lively!

wood & wall peg

wood & wall peg by wood & wool stool
wood & wall peg, a photo by wood & wool stool on Flickr.

New in the shop; the wood & wall peg.

A cute and handy little coat rack, you can use it everywhere;

- in the baby room (the sweetest babywear)
This white dress on the middle hook, was once my grandmother's and light years later Pippa's.
- in the bathroom (for towels)
- in the hall (for scarves and hats)
- in the bedroom (for necklaces and belts)

All pegs are unique and handmade.
Maybe you live near Haarlem, so you can come and see at Fortfestijn
on Sunday, October 28.
