The premiere of the Green Garden workshop in Marrakech was even better and greener than we imagined when we came up with the program.

All the gardens and parks in the medina were already so green and full of bloom!
Blooming pomegranate trees, the beautifully recognizable crowns of fruits already fully recognizable.

During our first morning 'gardens' tour, we all collected leaves, blossoms and seeds, to get started with our herbarium after lunch. Great fun to see how everyone used his own personal collection to make a green diary.

In the afternoon we continued our walk to the local flower market and a public park and ended on the roof at El Fenn for drinks with a view.

At the end of the day we returned to our base camp, the green oasis Chambres d'Amis. Just a bit tired of all impressions, but surely satisfied with our first green adventures.

season sensation

Cherry blossom on the kitchen table.

Petite Pippa in a frame and some lovely pink lingerie tulips I bought from Pippa (at the local flowershop) last Saturday. I love pink & yellow together!

That's why they are called 'lingerie tulips'...

Okay we may have had no 'winter experience' this year, but certainly a lifelike spring feeling!

The big bottle is a gift from Lammie.
I'm very pleased with the old bottle, it's so pretty with that pink blossom branch and deserves a prominent place in the living.

Stuck on the wall this week;
Bottle vases by Foekje Fleur.
Front and back of the postcard I've made for Lammie's shop.
A supersweet photo of Minne on opa's neck.
The new Villa Augustus Easter brochure with glorious illustrations (as always) by Dorine de Vos.

sunday lunch

sunday lunch by wood & wool stool
sunday lunch, a photo by wood & wool stool on Flickr.

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Lunch at the kitchen table,
with delicious sandwiches.
A stack of good old LIVING magazines (a shame that magazine no longer exists)
The beautiful blossom branches [cornus mas] are a gift from a sweet friend.
If I had to choose between breakfast, lunch or dinner, lunch is by far my favorite!

tea for two

tea for two, originally uploaded by wood & wool stool.

It's raining (again)
and it's cold even with a cardigan.
Time for tea,
with dark chocolate
in my best cups
tea for two
Why 4 cups?
So you can choose your own naked girl...

happy easter

happy easter, originally uploaded by wood & wool stool.

To be honest I'm not too fond of over-decorated easter branches, so I've made my own version with cherry blossom and lucky hare made by vergeet-me-niet. Also a little 'finger puppet' knitted hare, a pink rooster whistle (without the flute) and a funny windup hare in front, who makes somersaults.

To make the Easter atmosphere complete, there are of course some chocolate eggs, the white and milk chocolate eggs always run out faster and that's ok because I prefer the leftover dark eggs anyway.
