Nice - Monday 15th of May - 15006 steps

Breakfast on the terrace at Gina, the new brasserie in the heart of Place Masséna. Oui oui! and to think that it's Monday morning, so nice! Nissa la Bella!

It's Monday! The flower & food vendors are taking a day-off. Another kind of magic is the charming antiques market, that appears under the colorful striped canopies of the stalls on the weekly brocante market in Vieux Nice. Too many beautiful objects and furniture, if you only travel with a small suitcase. We fell in love with the ceramic sailor girls and they could come along.

We reserved sunbeds at Hotel Amour à la plage and as hotel guests were allocated a perfect spot in the front row. We eagerly await an afternoon on the Côte d'Azur. Daydreaming and gazing at the bright blue sea.

Late lunch on the pastel colored terrace at Hotel Amour à la plage, where we feasted on our first fresh sardines of the year. After lunch the sky became threatening, however we stayed resolutely on our sunbeds, convinced that the sun would return.

Before siesta in room 11 we had a swim in the pool on the roof of our hotel.

Aperitifs on the terrace at Maison Margaux and upon inspecting the menu, we thought it's perfect to dine here as well. And sitting on bistro chairs on the Place Magenta you can easily imagine yourself in Paris.

We took an evening walk through the city and decided to have a another drink on the terrace at Gina, where we started the day. It wasn't that busy on a monday night. On arrival at Hotel Amour the terrace looked so inviting. So we ordered an Aperol Spritz and beer at the bar. Pourquoi pas?
