Blanket in the making for a spring baby.
Blanket in the making for a spring baby.
You can feel we are on the right side of spring!
In the 'new' bathroom
- a funny old bra hanger
- with a sweet new set
- peppermint / eucalyptus bath gel
- Moroccan scrub pads
A delightful retreat and it feels like a real hammam.
Like my dad used to say 'mucket bra!'
After-fun on the pinboard and I'm super happy with my new silk Foekje Fleur scarf.
The colorful harlequin diamonds are beautifully fresh!
Amsterdam has another fine place to hang out!
The Exchange hotel, located on the busiest street, but inside you'll find a nice and quiet hotel, with pretty dressed rooms.
Options! store has a wonderful collection. We brought a small wire lamp and fish balloon for our bathroom.
At Stock you can enjoy a good breakfast (at any time you want) and you can marvel at the beautiful and funny murals, while sipping a cappuccino.
Friday night we had diner at Trouw and we shared a hodgepodge of delicious dishes. On Saturday we ended our Amsterdam break with a late lunch at Wagamama (yay, chilli chicken ramen!)
In December I got a sweet nice little 'X' envelope under the x-mas tree.
For one night in the brand new hotel in Amsterdam.
(some kind of sister of our favorite Lloyd hotel); The Exchange
(and how romantic, booked for our first date anniversary)
So we stayed here last weekend in a room overlooking the busiest street in Amsterdam, with a great view at the Beurs van Berlage building.
The hotel is very surprising and the neighboring Stock restaurant and superfine Options! store, go wonderfully together.
It was so nice and a more detailed post with photos will be exchanged.
(but now I'm too tired)
The big wool stool is pretty cool in black.
The special edition flowery wallpapered scrapwood stool legs are quite unique. It's now on sale with the big black wool seat cover.
Once upon a time in the North...
...photobooth February 15, 1986 - Zwolle station.
Today is our first date anniversary.
It was a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Lunch at the kitchen table,
with delicious sandwiches.
A stack of good old LIVING magazines (a shame that magazine no longer exists)
The beautiful blossom branches [cornus mas] are a gift from a sweet friend.
If I had to choose between breakfast, lunch or dinner, lunch is by far my favorite!
New; wood & wool wear!
Something completely different, although with my favorite ingredients.
The baby cardigans are made of 100% merino big wool and have two cute handmade wooden buttons. On the back a bright st☆r!
I've made two cardigans so far. The first one is made of madras yellow big wool with white sleeves and a pink st☆r on the back and pink edging. The other cardigan is made or white hot big wool with a bright orange st☆r on the back and indigo blue edging.
Now in my Etsy shop.
Express your love on wood...
Amaze your sweatheart;
You can order your own custom made ‘wood & word sign’ with whatever text.
(keep the text short, otherwise it doesn't fit)
Imagine almost anything is possible;
[your name] [just a word] [a message for your lover] [love] [something stupid] [something funny] [your motto]
This always is a loving sign (not just for your valentine)
Use it as a 'postcard' and it will be sent to the address you want.
The [crochet heart] is beating!
From now the wood & wool postcards are available in some shops in Dordrecht; Villa Augustus, Intermezzo and Lammie Verkoopt.
Or simply send me an email [email@example.com] if you want to buy a heart.
It's freezing cold at night in our attic bedroom.
So we've moved the big warm woolen blanket upstairs.
I hope it keeps freezing at night so we can have another Elfstedentocht.
Fingers crossed for a thick layer of ice...
So funny to see how all gardens become equally beautiful under a layer of snow.
The brand new workwear from Paris we got in the Villa Augustus market, made me really happy this week (among other things).
Two cool linen aprons in indigo blue and soft gray.
The good news is; you can buy them in the market shop (without the hares) and the aprons are also available in pink, khaki, teal and a darker shade of grey. Also for the little ones.
Only on Saturdays (and first Sundays of the month) the oddest shop in Dordrecht opens its doors.
A few weeks ago I did a photoshoot at Lammie's for a new postcard for her shop.
To get an impression of the curious stuff she sells, I show you some of all the beauty.
Industial letters, button cards, tiles, heart boxes (medicine) cupboards and a huge ashtray and even an ancient 'backspace'.
Lammie sells (almost) everything.
