first beach day 2020

Wednesday 20th of May - first day at the beach 2020

Exactly one month later than last year, according to my blog archive.

That was't due to the sunny weather... and even less to our desire visit to the coast! It was about time to walk barefoot through the sand and breathe the sea breeze.

To avoid any crowds, we went out quiet early and on our walk along the beach we found remarkably little plastic waste on the beach (hooray).

We had a picnic near the dunes and made a face with the plastic we found during beach combing and added razor shells to make a face.

We sent a photo of the face to my niece Afra, as a digital birthday postcard.

In short, a wonderful day, lots of sun, joy and absorbing what otherwise seems so obvious.

Here at home, it's getting slowly but surely really Christmassy. Unpacking the old traditional Christmas goodies gives me every year that Aha experience. I've found some 'new' items in Lammie's shop; the bright pink bauble is vintage and also is the shiny vine leaf.
