alicante in april - viernes
Alicante - viernes 1 de abril - 8182 steps
Arrival at the airport at 5 pm.
Quickly dropped the luggage in our apartment, ready for a drink at the VermuterÃa (together with the locals who start their weekend with a Friday afternoon drink) and exploration of the neighborhood before the sun goes down.
We had an italian/japanese dinner at Burro Canaglia and on our way back home we brought some empanadas for later in the evening.
On our first evening we are pleasantly surprised by the authentic atmosphere, a vibrant city with a seventies vibe, thousands of palm trees throughout the city and our first impression was not at all the pensionados place we were a bit afraid of...
This trip was a last minute alternative to the train journey to Berlin that we had originally booked, but due to the rainy weather we opted for a Mediterranean destination.
