Lisboa

So good to be back in Lisbon.
Back in our house in Baixa.
Three years in a row we have made a roadtrip in Portugal.
Every time we took a different route and discovered new places in Portugal.
Nature, beaches, cities, traditional towns, Portugal is so versatile.

When planning the route, we already knew beforehand, we wanted to end our journey in Lisbon.
Even though it is entirely against our nature, to visit one place three times in a row, we stayed 5 nights in our apartment in Baixa House.
This time we booked 'Gulbenkian' with a balcony on the 4th floor. (we could live here)
Life in Lisbon is wonderful, relaxed atmosphere, good food, beautiful architecture, sunset drinks at the river Tejo.
We try to avoid the tourist spots and go to the left where everyone goes to the right.

Roadtrip Portugal 2016.

When we planned our roadtrip last winter, we knew it had to end in Lisbon. We have been 4 times in Lisbon during the last 20 years and last year we truely fell in love with Lisboa.

Six days and nights we stayed in our favourite appartment in Baixa House. Surprise, surprise, we even met our niece Safi. Couldn't be better.
On our first evening we had drinks at the rio Tejo and the next morning breakfast together, before Safi went back home.

It's so cool when you know you have plenty of time to enjoy the city and don't have to do 'everything' in just a few days. We both love the city-life and walked for hours from 'quiosque' to 'miradouro' to 'jardim' to terrace for another 'imperial' or espresso with pastel de nata.
