It's March, hallelujah!

Sunshine all week from Sunday to Sunday.

Sunday 2nd - coffee in the frontyard and this year's gardening premiere. In the evening we went to see the film Parthenope by Sorrentino.
Monday 3rd - workday with a visit of Minne & Liam.
Tuesday 4th - bike tour with Minne & Liam, including Liam's first stadium visit, first ice cream at La Venezia and playing outside
Wednesday 5th - to Rotterdam with Henk
Thursday 6th - flowerday at Villa Augustus and Pippa & Liam came by because it's terrace weather! After dinner we had a colossal classical evening in De Doelen in Rotterdam. Verdi's Requiem by Lorenzo Viotti, with a big orchestra, an enormous choir, and four soloists, it was so enormous and dramatic.
Friday 7th - work work
Saturday 8th - visit of my dear friend Marieke & family with lots of fun in the backyard.
Sunday 9th - simply enjoy the outdoors again!

Rotterdam - Sunday 11th of December

Waluw XL vintage market, a carefully curated market for lovers of vintage & fashion.

We went out early for the best treasure hunting and found a white space age stool, a yellow giraffe Ikea design bedside lamp by Monica Mulder and a stack of cognac colored plates from the 70's.

And i discovered an original crochet woodwoolstool cover, so apparently also vintage nowadays...

iffr - international filmfestival rotterdam 2020

Rotterdam - Tuesday 28th of January

Today we went to Rotterdam to visit the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR)

Yesterday I booked tickets for Little Joe.

Scientist Alice (Emily Beecham, winner of Best Actress at Cannes) develops new plants for a commercial bio company. She is very proud to have come up with a revolutionary innovation: an eye-catching red indoor plant that gives off a pollen that makes you happy. The plant works like Prozac: if well cared for, it increases the owner's sense of happiness.

Breaking all the company rules, Alice, who spends so much time in the laboratory, secretly takes home a prototype of the anti-depression plant for her lonely child and names it after her teenage son Joe.

Visually everything is just right about Little Joe, a film by Austrian director Jessica Hausner. Sets, costumes, hairstyles are tightly aligned of bright colors. The bright red petals of flower 'Little Joe' as a dramatic centerpiece.

Elegant and absurd film! Stunning science fiction house plant theme and the style and colors sometimes reminded me of Wes Anderson.

We are planning to see another IFFR film this weekend. Tips anyone?
