fenix food factory

rotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdam

After Pippa's graduation dinner party on the terrace at Hotel New York last night, we were lazing in the garden chairs on the grass, with an amazing view on the river and harbour.

Thereafter we made an evening stroll along the quay and walked across the Rijnhaven bridge to Katendrecht.
On the right of the quay there's a huge factory, the Fenix Food Factory, a daily artisan food market!
At this hour the market has ended, but we had a drink outside and made a walk through and around the building.
Besides food and drinks you can also buy the vintage furniture in the cafe.

Great place, we definitely have to return during daytime soon!

hurray for pippa

rotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamrotterdamhurray for pippa

Hurray, hurray!
Our daughter Pippa graduated high school today!

The mentor who called her, asked if we have a Dutch flag.
Pippa said, yes of course.
Well, you can raise the flag!

Hurray for Pippa! We all are very proud of her!
We went to Rotterdam to celebrate Pippa's party on the terrace of Hotel New York!
(and we had a special evening together in the sunshine...)

the journalist

the reader

Our son Minne graduated as a journalist last Tuesday.
He has a part time job at the newspaper as a sports journalist for a number of years.

We are all very proud of Minne and celebrated this accomplishment with a festive family dinner last night.

These piles of books are Minne's and as you can see he likes writing and reading...
