We ended our road trip from Taghazout with a delicious lunch at the newly opened La Famille open-air restaurant, between Essaouira and Sidi Kaouki.

Back home in Paradis d'Amis the workmen are busy drilling a water well.

To avoid the noise, Henk and I drive to the coast in Sidi Kaouki together and have a wonderful afternoon and evening by the ocean at La Mouette et Les Dromadaires.

Beach, sunbeds, sunset and fresh sardines around the wood fire.

That evening on the roof at Paradis infinite starry sky!

Summer food inspired by La Famille Marrakech cookbook. Because it's such a blissful summer evening..., not! We made it a summer evening and it certainly was summer food.



Saturday dinner in the kitchen. Instead of the pizzetta base, Henk used Libanese bread which is super easy!

RECIPE:

Pizzetta number one:
Libanese bread (heat up in the oven for a while)
beetroot hummus
tabbouleh salad
and orange slices on top

Pizzetta nummer two:
Libanese bread (heat up in the oven for a while)
yazzara (vegetable dip made of pumpkin, carrot, cream and ginger)
grilled tomatoes and yellow bell pepper from our own mini vegetable garden
and pomegranate seeds on top

Served with mandolin sliced cucumber & radish salad

Funky dinner on the roof terrace at Shtatto with harira, fresh salads and virgin mojitos. Their music is a mix of deep house and lounge with African and Arabic influences. Sitting still is impossible
