Marrakech - 8 November 2025

Early flight from Eindhoven to Marrakech.

With Mohammed to Djemaa & Hichem to Maison Demi, my friend Ank's house. So good to be back, I was almost skipping down the street.

Lunch at La Famille, this has become a tradition on the first day in Marrakech.

Palais El Badi, which was largely closed due to works, including exactly my favourite part, however always beautiful and impressive.

Rooftop drinks at Otto, a new place in town.

More drinks under the giant ficus tree at Foundouk Gargaa, we love this place!

Relaxing on the roof terrace at Maison Demi, we have already completely 'landed' and gotten used to the sounds and the hustle and bustle of the Red City !and are enjoying ourselves immensely!

Drinks & dinner on the roof at Shtatto!

Saturday 22nd of July

Summer food inspired by La Famille Marrakech cookbook. Because it's such a blissful summer evening..., not! We made it a summer evening and it certainly was summer food.

Saturday dinner in the kitchen. Instead of the pizzetta base, Henk used Libanese bread which is super easy!

RECIPE:

Pizzetta number one:
Libanese bread (heat up in the oven for a while)
beetroot hummus
tabbouleh salad
and orange slices on top

Pizzetta nummer two:
Libanese bread (heat up in the oven for a while)
yazzara (vegetable dip made of pumpkin, carrot, cream and ginger)
grilled tomatoes and yellow bell pepper from our own mini vegetable garden
and pomegranate seeds on top

Served with mandolin sliced cucumber & radish salad

Bon appetit!
