Thursday 23th of November

On Thursdays Minne & Liam often go for a walk together and sometimes they drop by to bring a kiss (and buy some 'hare' cookies)

Minne 1993

Yesterday Liam-Novi was wearing the sweater I knitted for my son Minne 30 years ago. My grandson & son in the same outfit, how cute is that. Pippa has been wearing the sweater too, but that was never captured on photo.

I kept some special clothes from the children in the attic and now it is used again!

So you can rightfully call this a vintage sweater.

and by the way, the hare-toy also belonged to Pippa...

30

1993

Minne turned 30 today!

I can hardly believe it, how fast did that go?!

He is passionate sports journalist, a wonderful son, the dearest brother and also loving uncle of Liam nowadays.

30 years ago Minne was born and today there's another mini in the crib, the circle of life.

throwback tuesday

minne & me 1993

My son Minne, the eldest, was born on Tuesday, January 28th in 1992.
He came five weeks early and was a super sweet and tiny baby.
This picture of us was taken in the summer of 1993 in Cuba. Wow, time flies...
Nowadays Minne works as a journalist for a newspaper.

Today we celebrate his 23th birthday!

My son Minne reads a lot, mainly sports books.
Meanwhile he has quite a collection, that no longer fits on his bookshelf.
So he piled the books by color.
Hey, that looks familiar.

Minne, the oldest, is a journalism student and writes weekly sports reports for the newspaper.
Recently he asked me, to take his picture for a press card.
Sure, I said.
At the moment I took the camera he could not possibly get a serious face.
We had lots of fun. I don't know which photo he finally chose for his press card.
I chose the last blurry one of half Minne to frame.

Ps: the give away is still running!

p for

Profile;
His 'little' sister Pippa made this beautiful profile photo of her big brother this morning. She wanted to have a nice picture of him, because he will be in Italy with his friends for the next 2 weeks and she's really gonna miss him.

Propedeuse;
Wednesday Minne received his Foundation Course Certificate. He finished his first-year study journalism and I'm really proud of him.
The text on the screen 'I can listen to others' is Minne's quote.

Paper round;
During the tropical heat of this week, I discovered Minne sleeping in the garden, early in the morning. After he finished his newspaper round (to finance his Italian holiday) he decided to have a nap in the garden instead of jumping back in his bed. Such a sweet sight!

minne

Eighteen...

Today is the 18th birthday of our dear son Minne. So my first born child is now officially adult.

I remember it like yesterday that I've become his mother. He was so small and 5 weeks premature, his weight was 2200 grams and length only 44 cm.

Nowadays he's a head taller than me and a first year journalism student.

Happy birthday Minne! (the English translation of his name is love)

His life so far in a few Flickr thumbnails...
