Crochet with a view. On day 3 of the workshop we had an amazing day in the desert, making bikini tops.

Stunning ever-changing skies, panoramic landscape and impressive mountain view! Working on our bikini project, we imagined ourselves on the filmset of Lawrence of Arabia...

Quite an exciting day, ending with a sensational sandstorm.

Marrakech is called the Red City.

As you approach the airport of Marrakech by plane, I'm always surprised how green the Red City actually is.
During the last years I've visited quite some stunning gardens and oases in the medina and fell in love with the amazing green gardens of Marrakech.
For those out there, who can't or rather don't want to crochet, we will arrange an opportunity to discover Marrakesh in an alternative way next year!

Consider it a green gardens travel workshop! There are so many (unknown) gardens in and around Marrakech which we will visit during this travel workshop.
The variety of gardens is really surprising and magnificent. For all gardeners or botanical addicts this opportunity is a great way to visit and discover Marrakech.

The theme is green!
Urban Jungle lovers, this is a unique way to explore the city of Marrakech.

marrakech for the heart & the soul

Certain things you will not forget about Marrakech. The gentle birdsong early in the morning in the riad. The sound of verbena tea, poured from a heigth. The motorbike engines traversing the narrow streets in the Medina. The magical call to prayer, rumbling through the air five times a day. The beautiful morrocan hues in the city, blushing pink walls and exotic bright colors everywhere.

I'm off to Marrakech.

From Wednesday - Monday we will travel in and around Marrakech with our wool baskets to experience new adventures.

I'm looking forward to stay in Marrakech for a whole week and absorb all the colours, sounds and flavors. It's the 6th edition of the Cool Crochet Workshop and meeting new fellow crocheteers and seeing friends again in Marrakech is a blast.

The name of this plant is spotted or trout begonia (begonia maculata).
It was a gift from my friend Marieke and the plant is growing steadily on the bench in the kitchen.
Watering the houseplants has become a Sunday morning ritual.

Now I'm going to pack my suitcase for the trip to Marrakech.
