spring breeze linen

spring breeze linenpicasso in a homemade framepicasso in a homemade frame spring breeze linen

Saturday, another sunny day, what a spring!

Curtains fluttering in the wind, what do you mean 'spring fever'...

In the morning we visited the market and Lammies Shop (more on that later).
In the afternoon we made some wood & wool stools and a scrapwood frame for the Picasso, we brought from Bruges last week.

The new Gypsy book by Sibella Court was delivered today and we slowly browsed it [sigh] on the garden bench.
My friend Rosa showed me the book some weeks ago and I fell in love. Some books you simply have to buy.

year of the pineapple

year of the pineappleyear of the pineapple

2014, year of the pineapple!

Last week we found this pineapple lamp in Ghent.
We could not resist it and decided to take the showy table lamp along.
(with the consequence that my love has walked around all afternoon with a big carton)

The pineapple lamp is well worth dragging around, for we are very happy with the tasty shiny piece of fruit in the living room.
Pippa suggested that she would like to inherit the showpiece... sometime.

it's a booby bird

it's a bird

Some months ago we were at Anthropologie in London and this Booby bird looked me straight in the eyes. Couldn't resist it's flirting and the bright colors of the lampshade!
Not exactly convenient, to bring a lampshade in your hand luggage, so we decided to ship this strange bird to the Netherlands.

Once at home, I found out it's a Booby bird from the Galapagos Islands. The lamp has six different birds around, this is our favorite but sometimes we turn another bird to the front. The lampshade is designed by Ashley Longshore and is called Archipelago Lampshade.
