Upon returning home from my flowerday at work, I found this charming portrait on the garden bench yesterday afternoon.

Made by Henk with leaves from ginkgo, jasmine, olive and hollyhocks, which he found on the ground in the front yard.

The golden week in November.

An impressive end of the yellow Ginkgo leaves in the frontyard.

After an endless summer, we are now treated to beautiful crisp autumn weather. The sun turns the yellow autumn leaves into gold.

The ginkgo tree in the frontyard is always at it's best this season and this year it seems even better.

Autumn walk in the woods.

After a long summer (early April to mid-October, because of my workshop travels to Marrakech), I appreciate the autumn weather.

If only for the stunning yellow ginkgo tree in the frontyard.
And for the winter wardrobe from the attic, your own 'old collection' suddenly seems new again; boots, cardigans (my favorites), sweaters, boots, warm winter coats...

For the time being, I'm still enjoying the season, knowing that soon I will be done with it.

green gardens workshop - the premiere

The premiere of the Green Garden workshop in Marrakech was even better and greener than we imagined when we came up with the program.

All the gardens and parks in the medina were already so green and full of bloom!
Blooming pomegranate trees, the beautifully recognizable crowns of fruits already fully recognizable.

During our first morning 'gardens' tour, we all collected leaves, blossoms and seeds, to get started with our herbarium after lunch. Great fun to see how everyone used his own personal collection to make a green diary.

In the afternoon we continued our walk to the local flower market and a public park and ended on the roof at El Fenn for drinks with a view.

At the end of the day we returned to our base camp, the green oasis Chambres d'Amis. Just a bit tired of all impressions, but surely satisfied with our first green adventures.

A carpet of yellow ginkgo leaves in the front yard.

I have saved a lot of beautiful leaves to dry, before the autumn storm had blown them all away. I don't have a flower press, so I arranged the ginkgo leaves on sheets of paper and stuck them into a heavy book, that I weighted with more have books.

All the leaves are shaped differently, they are all beautiful! I will make a ginkgo herbarium soon.

golden gingko garden

I'm enchanted by the gingko tree in our front garden.

The golden leaves were hanging on the tree slightly longer than a week this fall.

Now there is a yellow gingko rug in the front yard; so awesome!

It's a gorgeous sight, the chemical changes and autumn beauty, every year again!
