the tiny orange mini cooper

orange mini cooper - tiny christmas project orange mini cooper - tiny christmas project 1st of august 2023 orange mini cooper - tiny christmas project

The tiny orange Mini Cooper. This weeks cool crochet project.

Pippa asked if I wanted to make a traditional Christmas sweater for Liam.

So I knitted a tiny tweed spencer and I made a crochet version of our orange Mini Cooper, which he thinks is a really cool car!

chevron blanket - crochet pattern

chevron blanket - crochet pattern chevron blanket - crochet pattern chevron baby blanket - crochet pattern

One of my handmade blankets; the colorful chevron blanket.

A fresh and bright design.

You can download the CHEVRON BLANKET CROCHET PATTERN in my ETSY SHOP.

With the easy to follow pattern of 6 pages & chart, you can make this cool blanket yourself in your favorite colors.

The size of the blanket is 1.40 x 1.00 meter, however it's easy to adjust to a different size.

The orange cot is swedish design we found about ten years ago.

Soon our grandson Liam-Novi will no longer fit in the bamboo crib, so we have taken out the grow-along bed from our 'junk' attic.

deep-pile ginkgo carpet

ginkgo carpet

It's that time of year again.

After a few weeks of golden glow from the ginkgo tree in the frontyard and a stunning kitchen window view, almost all ginkgo leaves have fallen.

So we drink our daily coffee in the front yard on a deep-pile yellow carpet.
And we will leave the leaves for a little while, simply because it's so beautiful.

November joy of nature.

Kingsday 2021. An orange kinda day.

Second lockdown kingsday. Orange is popping up everywhere, however still no traditional 'Orange' parties, no free-markets, no festivals.

For the second time in history the Dutchies are celebrating kingsday mainly in and around the house.

We made an Orange mini cooper tour to the Biesbosch including a picknick in the grass.

Great sunny weather for a lazy afternoon and dinner in the backyard.

yellow

yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow yellow

Saturday morning 28th of November

Hello yellow!

We made an appointment to pick up a vintage italian design chair and ended up on this beautiful courtyard covered in a yellow ginkgo glow.

I collected some of the 'fruits' of the Japanese nut tree (which are botanically the seeds, but because the seed coat is fleshy, they look like fruits). The seeds are apricot shaped and when the female seeds fall to the ground in autumn, the fleshy seed coat starts to rot and falls off and smells like rancid butter.

I want to try to grow some mini ginkgo trees.

candy cane crochet cushion

candy cane crochet candy cane crochet candy cane crochet candy cane crochet candy cane crochet candy cane crochet

Candy cane crochet cushion.

I've been working on a diagonal stripes variant of the chevron pillow pattern with pastel pink, neon pink and neon orange yarn from Marrakech.

I started the candy cane project in June and because of a crochet-free holiday and busy weeks afterwards, it has taken more than a month to finish it, but it is ready now.

The bright colors and stripes make it a summer cushion!

favorite winter fruit

moroccan mandarins mandarin

I can easily eat four or five mandarins at one time and I'm not the type to peel off all the white stuff...

Guess I'm having a vitamine C addiction nowadays. My favorites are Maroc mandarins with the black harlequin logo.

alice in wonderland anno 2014

alice in wonderlandalice in wonderland

The world famous stories Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Through the Looking Glass (1871) by Lewis Carroll, are bundled in a new edition with cute and innovative illustrations by Floor Rieder.

For this book Floor used an old scratch technique in which she managed to create a new, witty and timeless Alice, you immediately close in your heart.

“You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
