for emily

At the moment I'm working on a new stool cover.
It's a custom order for a lovely lady. She asked white, sophisticated and simple...

paris pair

La paire de frère et soeur.
A pair of xs stools I recently made for a brother and sister in Paris.

Maman told me, they are very happy with their stools. Ne sont-ils pas mignons?!

doris, born on the 4th of july

Today is a day of celebration, because it's the 4th of July and Doris is celebrating her thirteenth birthday!

The stool is a surprise for Doris. She is the eldest daughter of my friend Rosa. This morning her mother Rosa came to pick up her birthday stool.

Rosa will put it secretely in the bedroom of Doris, so she will find it beside her bed when she comes home from school. So sweet...

Happy 4th of July and have a good weekend everyone!

parisian pillow

Bonjour tous! Profiter d'un autre jour ensoleillé!

We have to work in the garden today and this pillow goes off to Paris...

musician stool

A super fun request.

Please make a special stool for the birthday of my daughter, that she can use while playing harp.

(I can hear gentle harp sounds, when I look at the vintage flowers on the stool legs...)

wood & wool harlequin stool

A new design of the harlequin stool that I made recently.
The request was to make the wool cover in earth tones with a twist.

[old school] stools

After recent orders from London, Paris and Australia, it's also great to send these traditional stools to their new owners in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Enjoyed to make some 'old school' wood & wool stools again, after all the new designs & projects.

the shop window

Mommies from Paris and London were walking along my Etsy shop window to buy some wood & wool hangers and that ║║║║║║ & ♦♦♦♦♦♦ pillow is on its way to Jean's sofa in Australia.

That's the cool effect of Etsy. I love it when my work travels around the world.

Another metropole to pin on the world map of woodwoolstool destinations is Singapore!

la cucina

la cucina, a photo by wood & wool stool on Flickr.

An italian wood & word recipe for the kitchen.
The recipe is for another 'chef' and will leave our kitchen today.
However tonight we will have penne with salsa di pomodoro for dinner I figured.

I have to go shopping for cherry tomatoes and missing ingredients...

My favorite Italian cookbook is La nonna La cucina La vita by Larissa Bertonasco and not only for the good food!

paint it black

paint it black - stool for inck, a photo by wood & wool stool on Flickr.

Wood & wool stool Inck in front of a freshly painted black wall.
Last week I painted the small walls of the hall on the first floor.
(following the example of Nina)

Black walls are beautiful and photogenic.

There was enough paint left over to paint the hall on the second floor as well.

The favorite colors of by inck Inge's stool, really pop in front of the new wall.
Black and blue match surprisingly well.
