in the mood

moroccan pastries

A perfect way to start the weekend.

Coffee with moroccan pasties.

Last night some friends came over for dinner and brought my favorite cookies for dessert. A box full of moroccan pastries, so enough for the whole weekend.

The delicious gazelle horns (at the top) are the best!

Welcome to the weekend!

round & round

roundl o v e plate

The round pillow is finished and I love it!

The other side of the pillow is s t r i p e d, I like it when a pillow has two different sides.
So I decided to make a new design with the same colors spread evenly over the round.
It was algebra crochet, a huge challenge.
However, I can not recommend anyone to work with eight balls of yarn at once.
The hassle was worth it, the pillow is awesome.

The L O V E plate we bought at Anthropologie in London last April.

Our giant green G moved to the Garden and made room for the beautiful vintage mirror, we found at the Spring brocante of Lammie & Maria in Amsterdam.

The cute shiny pineapple from Oman was a gift from Hinke.

Our Moroccan boucherouite rug in front of the bench is a souvenir from Marrakech.

nature plate

giraffe plate

Along with the ski hare this giraffe came all the way from London. The plate has vintage inspired curves and is designed by Lou Rota.

Difficult to choose from so many beautiful nature plates...
The alluring Dahlia in the mouth of the giraffe, was decisive.

For now the Table Dessert Plate is doing well as a Wall Decorate Plate.

autumn comes

autumn comes, originally uploaded by wood & wool stool.

Some weekend flea market finds:

The rusty red dotted enamel jug turns into a beautiful 'autumn' vase and the floral plates from Intermezzo fit perfectly in the vintage rack. The enamel jug and plate rack are good finds from De Korte's Kuriosa, a flea market nearby.

another row of plates

another row of plates, originally uploaded by wood & wool stool.

Yesterday I hung the plates from Intermezzo and another cute plate, still waiting for a prominent spot on the wall plates. Fifteen minutes, four new trust the white rabbit platehangers, a few nails and a ruler, was all I needed to clear this job.

A few seconds after I had hung the plates I was still holding my hands near like a safety net, in case it wasn't completely safe. Nothing happend so I guessed I could trust the white rabbit, as the brand name suggests.

The white rabbit from the Easter postcard in the card holder is another story...
