knitting pattern - leftover spencer (english version)

knitting pattern leftover spencer knitting pattern leftover spencer

NEW DESIGN

The knitted leftover spencer!

Yesterday I already launched the knitting pattern in my native language, today the English version is ready.

The good thing is that you already have the required yarn in stock. You don't have to buy any yarn at all, it doesn't matter what colors you use, because in the end your version will be perfect and unique.

So if you feel like making it too? Jump to my Etsy shop and promise to show me your version, once it's finished!

december decorations

December traditions. colored Christmas lights in the ginkgo tree.

The multicolored LED festival lights we once bought from Habitat have lasted for many years. The bottom photos are from 2011, back then the beech hedge was still low and the trunk of the ginkgo tree was a lot thinner.

psychedelic pillow

handmade woodwoolstool chevron pillow

Another unfinished project done.

The first stitches of this pillow I made last month and in the meantime I have made a mini collection of fingerless mittens.
This multicolored chevron pillow including innerpillow is now available in my ETSY SHOP.

The cushion has two different sides; the front side with multicolored (dark brown, rusty brown, orange brown, royal blue, lilac, dusty pink and ocher yellow, bright yellow, red, burgundy red, sand, turquoise and off white) chevron stripes and the back side in off white.

Would you rather make one yourself?
You can download the chevron pillow pattern in my ETSY SHOP too.

checkered, double checkered

checkered, double checkered checkered cushion checkered cushion checkered cushion checkered cushion

Checkered, double checkered, crochet cushion done.

I started the checkered crochet last month and while I was working on a new design for a pillow cover, I stopped halfway.

Not because I didn't like it, but because I was wondering how amazing this pattern would work on a xs woodwoolstool. Hahaha, these kind of jumps I make more often. Creating something while my mind is already working on the next project.

So I put the unfinished pillow project on hold and I started on a checkered mini stool cover.
You might have seen how cute the checkered mini stool has become. And yes, it's a keeper, the cutest piece of furniture in our new bedroom.

I wanted to make another one for sale and that one was gone in a blink.
Unfortunately I ran out of moroccan mini stools, so fingers crossed if all goes well I can bring new ones from the souk in October.

But luckily another cool crochet task was waiting for me and I finished the checkered pillow cover last weekend. The cover has two different sides. One side is white & lilac and the other side is multicolored with 6 different blocks in checkered pattern.

In the same colors I used for the mini stool cover; white, lilac, raspberry pink, pastel pink, bright blue, pale blue and yellow.

The checkered crochet cushion is now available in my Etsy shop and there is only one.

xs woodwoolstool 2020

xs woodwoolstool 2020 xs woodwoolstool 2020

A new xs woodwoolstool design.

I made a brandnew cover, for the handmade moroccan mini-stool.

The xs stools are perfect for toddlers, the nursery, as a footstool and you can even use it as a small (bedside) table.

Toddlers love it! They can drag this size-cute stool anywhere themselves. I'm sure this 'toy' will be their favorite piece of furniture.

Have a look at the size-cute collection in my ETSY SHOP.

just smashing, wouldn’t you say?

woodwoolstool harlequin blanket

Yay! Finished another crochet project this week!

It took me almost two months to start weaving in the loose ends of the harlequin blanket. I don't know why, but sometimes it works that way. It only took me an hour to fix it. Today I planned a 'baby blanket shoot' because I'm going to lend the vintage bamboo baby bed to a friend soon.

Making the babyblanket was so much fun! The harlequins are simple small projects, making one or a few a day, is manageable until you have enough harlequins to make a unique baby blanket.

Love the neon harlequins with the pop that it adds. Just smashing, wouldn’t you say?

You can make the harlequin blanket with all types of yarn and in any size you want, from baby blanket to huge kingsize blanket (and everything in between).

The harlequin p a t t e r n is available in my ETSY SHOP.

You can also download the DUTCH version now.

layout

woodwoolstool harlequin blanket atelier - harlequin blanket layout

On my studio floor: harlequins!

I'm working on a maternity gift project for my baby niece. I have a few months to finish the harlequin baby blanket, so no rush to put it together. I will first define a layout and then start slowly to make the parts into a blanket.

Making a babyblanket is so much fun! All harlequins are simple small projects and when you just make one or a few a day, you finally have enough harlequins to make a unique blanket.

I've been working on a brightly colored version with neon pink and orange lately. Neon is back. The catwalks of New York, London, Milan and Paris are proving that the neon trend is going to be sticking around for quite some time.
You can make this multicolored blanket with wool leftovers or you can also make a very natural colored version if you prefer.

The harlequin blanket can be made with all types of yarn and in any size you want.

The harlequin p a t t e r n is available in my ETSY SHOP.

hello december

handmade beanies handmade beanies

And all of a sudden it's December...

It's beanie season.

I brought a new beanie collection for you from Marrakech last October.

Striped, uni or with a harlequin pattern, all unique, unisex and one size. The soft and warm beanies are very comfortable to wear.

Would you like to wear a beanie this season? Or maybe surprise someone else with an original December gift?

Just have a look in my ETSY SHOP and choose your favorite one! The colorful moroccan beanies are all handmade in moroccan crochet style by Aisha.

Below a portrait of Aisha I took in April. She's the sweetest and every day working on her handmade pieces on Place des Epices. It would be cool if you support her by purchasing an original handmade gift for yourself or someone else.

Some weeks ago I shared my new bb18 crochet project on the kitchen table.

A new version of my 'good old' baby blanket, with a new design of black squares.

The first multicolored baby blanket I made in 2010; check this :-)

You can find the black bb18 blanket in my ETSY SHOP. There's only one.

ciudad multicolor

barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited barcelona revisited

Barcelona in color.

The blue of the sky and the sea.

The green of the trees, the parks and the innumerable urban jungle balconies.

The yellow and black of the taxis and the red of the buses.

The pink of of all trees in bloom and the blossom carpets on the pavement. (we even came across a 'pink' greyhound dog)

The bright colors of the waving laundry, balloon vendors and street art.

And obviously the myriad colors in Gaudí mosaics...

herringbone & harlequin

woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows woodwoolstool pillows

Herringbone & Harlequin.

Two of my favorite patterns.

I've made two matching pillows in matching patterns recently.
And they look so good together.

Now they are both for sale in my ETSY SHOP.

The front side is handmade crochet fabric, the backside is made of offwhite linen and the inner pillow is included.
