The pastels, summery scene and age made ​​me decide to bring this 'peinture de la puce' back home.

During a walk through Bayonne on our last vacation day, we found a wonderful vintage design shop, Le Labo Vintage. We had a peek inside and found this beautiful sun!
An appropriate summer souvenir and fits perfectly with the bamboo mirror, we found on a market a few weeks earlier.

After the mirror was carefully packed, the 'vendeuse' proudly told us, we were the first customers and the shop was not yet officially opened... Her husband who was busy decorating the shop, joked; champagne!
The whole situation made ​​our purchase even more amusing.

Lets face it, what's a better souvenir to take home from France? Le soleil!

waar magazine

For her bachelor Allround Styling, Esmeray, student at the Academy Artemis, made Waar Magazine.

She was inspired by the giftshop Waar in Rotterdam. It's a gift shop for sustainable gifts.
She asked if she could use our home for styling and photography of the magazine. Meanwhile Esmeray successfully completed her project.
As a reward for the 'use of our house', we received a printed copy. Great job!

augustus party

Yesterday we had a staff party at Villa Augustus.
The invitation itself, was a party!
We had a BBQ in the orchard (the food was delicious) followed by a spectacular performance of the Villa Augustus Band and a dance party in the Limonaia.
Nobody had to work, because former employees were hired for the evening.
It was a party as it should be!

Between everything, I'm busy working for the Yvestown fair on Saturday, September 7.

Last year it was an enormous success and we had a wonderful day in Yvonne's front yard.

Bamboo grows quite wildly and spreads in our backyard.
Pruning is inevitable.
Today some bamboo shoots ended up in the hallway in an old olive jar, for a change...
Nevertheless a small benefit.

Wood & wool xs stool in Burda Style's #9. Like-mother-like-daughter stools have been published in the September issue.

It sounds cool in German.
Meanwhile both stools are sold. The mini even moved to Japan. Of course I can always make new stools.

Yesterday we celebrated Pippa's birthday in Amsterdam.
We had a lovely day. At the end of the day we took the ferry back to the NDSM island and had a few drinks at Pllek.
After a day in the city we suddenly had a kind of 'beach birthday party' along the IJ with a beautiful sunset!
